I am lucky enough to be able to put my fingers in the Local Traffic Manager at work. Strange for a developer hum? Normally, this device is configured by the operations team. For information, the Local Traffic Manager is the network equipment that delivers the application to the end user.
When I started to configure the LTM, I was a bit overwhelmed. It is a very complex tool and I understand why, in most companies, there is one person who deals exclusively with this.
I think that configuring a tool like this helped me to have an open mind and a better view of the possibilities.
In addition, I think I could get things off the ground more quickly if I develop an application that requires some of the advanced features of the LTM.
